1. Entry-condition filter

Before a new position is opened, TC-Angel checks the configured entry conditions. The purpose is to avoid entering simply because a single signal appears, while the surrounding market conditions do not support the setup.

2. Smart Filter

The Smart Filter combines multiple conditions to monitor whether the current market environment is appropriate for a new trade. It is intended to reduce entries during conditions that may lead to unfavourable trades. It does not guarantee that every losing trade can be avoided; please confirm its behaviour with your own backtests and forward tests.

3. Economic-calendar filter

TC-Angel can pause new entries around registered economic events. The pause window can be adjusted for each event so that trading can be stopped before and after an announcement when appropriate.

How the Smart Filter works

The Smart Filter does not rely on one condition alone. It monitors a combination of market and trading conditions before allowing a new entry. On the chart, the Smart Monitor displays the current buy and sell risk readings, configured limits, and whether a new entry is allowed or blocked.

This layered approach is designed to help filter conditions that are more likely to become difficult trades. Because market behaviour changes over time, its settings should be validated periodically rather than treated as a promise of performance.

Economic-calendar filter coverage

High-impact events such as FOMC announcements, US employment data, and CPI are included. In addition, the filter covers a broader set of registered events for each currency pair.

When a registered event causes a meaningful market move and affects trade results, additional events may be registered or the pause times around the event may be reviewed and adjusted.

In the USDJPY example below, the chart displays a pause for the FOMC press conference. New trades were turned off from 90 minutes before the announcement until 05:00. The vertical markers show the start and end of the pause period, while the panel on the left displays the next scheduled event.

GOLD version

The GOLD version also has an economic-calendar filter. However, it is primarily intended as a discretionary-trading support tool, so the calendar filter is set to false by default. Enable it only after checking the settings and testing how it fits your trading approach.

Important note

Filters are risk-management support functions. They cannot eliminate all risk or guarantee profits. Please test the EA on a demo account or in an appropriate testing environment and use position sizing that matches your own risk tolerance.

In this mode, you make the initial entry manually, and the system handles subsequent positions (grid/martingale) and exit logic. This article explains how to set it up and manage risks safely.

2. Easy 3-Step Setup for Discretionary Support

Setting up discretionary support is very simple. Follow these steps:

1. Open the 5-minute (M5) chart of the currency pair you want to trade (EURUSD, GBPUSD, or USDJPY) and attach the corresponding EA.
2. Enable "Algo Trading" at the top of your MT5 terminal (ensure the icon is green).
3. Open the EA parameter settings and adjust the following:
   • Change Use Entry Logic to false (※This stops the EA from making the initial entry automatically).
   • Keep Use Currency Strength For Nampin as true (※This is a safety filter that halts grids during strong currency trends).

3. 5 Checklist Items Before Making Your Entry

To maximize your recovery probability, always verify these 5 conditions before entering manually:

• 📢 No High-Impact Economic News?
  Avoid entering right before or after major economic announcements, as spreads widen and unpredictable slippage can occur.
• 🕒 Avoid Market Opens (London & NY)?
  Strong trends often start right after London (around 16:00 JST) or NY (21:00-22:00 JST) opens. Avoid counter-trend entries during these times.
• 📊 Safe ADX & CS (Currency Strength)?
  If ADX is above 50 or CS is over 100, the trend is too strong. Postpone your initial entry.
• 🟢 Smart Monitor is Green?
  Make sure the indicator on your screen shows "Green" (favorable) for your trade direction. If it is orange or red, stay on the sidelines.
• 📐 Near the Boundaries of a Range?
  Since the strategy relies on average pricing, avoid entering near the middle of a range. Buy near support (range bottom) and sell near resistance (range top).

4. Managing Trades & Stop-Grid Rules

If the market enters an unexpected trend and moves against you, use these guidelines to decide when to pause grids (No Nampin) or cut losses manually.

📉 5-Minute (M5) MA Cross Indicator

A simple way to detect a broken range scenario is the crossover between the MA20 (Short-term) and MA75 (Medium-term).

• For Buy Positions:
  If MA20 crosses below MA75 (Dead Cross - DC), it indicates strong downward momentum. Consider clicking the No Nampin button or closing manually.
• For Sell Positions:
  If MA20 crosses above MA75 (Golden Cross - GC), it indicates strong upward momentum. Exercise the same risk management.

※Clicking the No Nampin button on the chart dashboard halts any further grid orders while maintaining existing positions.

5. Automated Account Protection (System Exits)

TC-Angel includes built-in automated exit logics to protect your account during severe market shifts.

This EA (TC-Angel) is the culmination of over two years of relentless design, development, and testing — my life's work poured into code.

While I will continue to improve it whenever better ideas emerge, I can confidently say: this is the finished product. At this point, there’s nothing more I can do to make it better.

Below, I want to share the raw, unfiltered story behind its creation — including the inconvenient truths I usually keep hidden.

“Quitting My Job and Drawing Mind Maps in a Cheap Izakaya”

About six years ago, I quit my corporate job.

My only reason was simple: “I want to make money doing what I love.”

Before resigning, I thought long and hard about my ideal lifestyle. One vision stood out above everything else:

“Build an automatic system that keeps generating money even while I sleep.”

Looking back now, it was an incredibly naive dream. But at the time, I was dead serious. Every night, I sat alone in a cheap izakaya, scribbling mind maps and convincing myself that Forex Expert Advisors (EAs) could make that dream a reality.

Fortunately, I knew several consistently profitable traders. I absorbed everything they taught me and began developing various indicators and tools.

At the same time, I made a firm decision: “I will absolutely create an EA that trades exactly like these winning traders.”

They used trend-following strategies — entering in the direction of the move and steadily taking 10–15 pips. It sounded simple: “Just program their rules into code.”

But reality hit hard.

A program cannot see the chart like a human. It only looks at local data — the current candle and maybe one or two previous ones. What looks like a valid setup in numbers can easily be a trap in the bigger picture.

“The Betrayal of Perfect Backtests”

During this dark period, I discovered Zone Recovery and Grid/Hedging strategies — systems that theoretically “never lose.”

When the backtest showed “three straight years of profit with zero losses,” I thought I had finally made it.

But live trading destroyed that dream. Even the most sophisticated hedging logic eventually collapsed during extreme market conditions, wiping out the account in a single blow.

Why I Chose the “Hated” Martingale (Nampin) Approach

“For an EA, the Martingale (averaging down/up) logic is the most effective approach.”

The internet is full of warnings: “Martingale EAs always blow up eventually.” Those warnings are correct — in a way.

But here’s my core reasoning:

The ultimate goal of any EA is to minimize the probability of total account destruction.

Since 60–70% of the market is ranging, using counter-trend entries with averaging dramatically increases the win rate — often to over 90%.

Adding strong filters to avoid major news and violent trends can push the probability even higher — close to 95%.

The Game-Changing “AI Filter”

The biggest breakthrough came with the introduction of AI technology.

By integrating an advanced AI filter, the EA can now detect dangerous trend signals early and automatically avoid high-risk entries.

This dramatically improved the system’s safety.

“Martingale EAs can and will lose everything at some point. Please always keep that in mind.”

My Real Goal: “Make $65–70 Per Day”

I didn’t build this EA to chase millions. My dream was much simpler:

“If I can reliably make $65–70 per day, I can live comfortably without stress.”

The standard version supports three currency pairs: EURUSD, GBPUSD, and USDJPY.

Recommendation: Run multiple pairs together. TC-Angel has a built-in safety system — if any pair has an open position, the EA will not open new positions on other pairs. This increases opportunities while keeping risk controlled.

For experienced traders, I also recommend the Gold (XAUUSD) discretionary version.

The Only Way to Keep Profits with Martingale

Since this system will eventually face a losing streak, here is the only sustainable way to use it:

Withdraw profits regularly and keep your trading capital fixed at the minimum.

How to Request a Full License

1. Select the product
   Choose the license product you would like to use from the Product list.
2. Enter your account number, username, and email address
   Enter your MT5 login ID (account number), username, and a valid email address, then submit the application.
3. Open the link in the verification email
   A verification email will be sent to the address you entered. Open the link in that email to complete the application.
4. Administrator review
   After email verification, the administrator reviews the application and registration status. Review and issuance may take 24–48 hours (about 1–2 business days).
5. Receive the license issuance email
   After the review is complete, license issuance instructions are sent to your registered email address.

Affiliate / IB registration check

For eligible products, an affiliate or IB registration status may need to be confirmed. If the application details and registration status do not match, the administrator will contact you. Complete any required registration and submit a new license application afterward.

How to Request a 14-Day Demo License

1. Open the Demo License page
   On the license site, select Demo License and choose the product you would like to try.
2. Enter a working email address and submit
   The demo is available for 14 days. Please use an email address you can actually access.
3. Open the link in the verification email
   The first email verifies your address. Opening the link starts the demo issuance process.
4. Receive your Demo ID
   After your email address is verified, an email with your demo license instructions and Demo ID will be sent.
5. Extract the ZIP file and enter the Demo ID
   Extract the downloaded ZIP file, place the EA in MetaTrader, and enter the issued Demo ID in the EA settings.

MetaTrader 5 Setup Before Use

Before license authentication can work, allow WebRequest in MT5.

1. Open Tools → Options in MetaTrader 5.
2. Open the Expert Advisors tab.
